Iceland selling UK's 'cheapest' chicken and you won't believe the price

Iceland has just launched what it claims is the cheapest chicken in the UK.

More than one in four Brits eats chicken three or more times a week and 91%  of the country eats it at least once a month – that’s a lot of breast!

With chicken a staple part of many diets, thanks to its versatility, Iceland says its new chicken packs ensure shoppers get the best value for their money.

Iceland is increasing its fresh poultry offering both in store and online with the introduction of 300g Chicken Breast Fillets (£1.50), 850g Chicken Breast Fillets (£4) and 2kg Chicken Breast Fillets (£8) to help its shoppers stock their fridges and freezers in time for summer.

The new 300g Chicken Breast Fillets for £1.50   are better value than Aldi (£1.55), Asda (£1.80) and Tesco (£2.50) saving customers up to £1.

Iceland's bargain chicken (Iceland)

Bulk buying also pays off for Iceland shoppers as the 850g Chicken Breast Fillets are just £4, making them cheaper than Asda, Sainsburys and Morrisons.

Prices were all correct at the time of writing and the cheap chicken follows hot on the heels of Iceland's bargain £5 prosecco.

There are branches of Iceland in and around Newcastle in the likes of Blaydon, Benwell, Gateshead and Wallsend.

Home Bargains is selling boxes of 100 Jaffa Cakes for less than £4

Asda has just launched a £7 Pizza Express meal deal and you get loads
