Stuffed crust pizzas have become a regular fixture on the takeaway menu since they first launched 25 years ago, offering a variety of different fillings ranging from traditional melted mozzarella to hotdog and even a limited-edition Tabasco sauce.
They’ve become such a favourite with shoppers that they can regularly be found on offer in the frozen food aisle and chilled cabinets of most supermarkets.
Well, one of those popular high street stores has taken it to the next level and launched a stuffed BASE pizza.
Iceland have brought out four new pizzas that have cheese, bacon, pepperoni and chicken stuffed into the dough base of the pizza.
On sale for £2 as part of their takeaway range, the 510g pizzas are available in stores and on the Iceland website and fans are already excited about trying them out.
The new creations have already received five-star ratings on the Iceland website with one satisfied reviewer posting: "Indulgent pizza. Amazing value."

Stuffed base pizza may be new, but stuffed crust pizzas have been around for 25 years, says Pizza Hut, which claims it first introduced them to the UK in 1995, reports Gloucestershire Live.
The pizza chain is currently celebrating the launch of two new stuffed crust flavours - Bacon and Cheese and bacon and Cheesy Garlic butter. The pizzas can be ordered as part of a £17.99 meal deal which also includes a side and a drink.
