February has been a busy month for food fans with Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day and Shrove Tuesday celebrations taking place in recent weeks.
While some retailers are now focusing on the next big gifting event - Mother's Day, on Sunday, March 14 - most supermarkets have skipped ahead to Easter and shared a whole range of tasty-looking new seasonal products.
Easter Sunday falls on April 4 this year and we’ve already seen a giant chocolate Percy Pig for £10 from Marks and Spencer plus an impressive range of hot cross buns in a variety of flavours, from the traditional to controversial.
And now Iceland has launched a Luxury Hot Cross Bun Cheesecake, just for Easter.
The tasty-looking treat features baked spiced orange and raisin cheesecake on a crunchy biscuit base, topped with a salted caramel sauce and decorated with a white chocolate cross, providing sweet-toothed shoppers with the ultimate Easter treat.
The Luxury Hot Cross Bun Cheesecake costs £2.75 and will be available to pick up in stores and order online from Saturday, February 27.
For those who prefer their hot cross buns traditionally toasted, Iceland is also selling a pack of six for £1.
Testers for Good Housekeeping agreed Iceland’s buns were “Packed with fragrant spices, sweet honey and mixed dried vine fruit, these large buns were irregular in shape, giving them a homemade appearance.
Iceland is also selling an impressive range of chocolate Easter Eggs in a variety of sizes, including Maltesers, Celebrations, Galaxy, Creme Egg, Minstrels, Rolo, Yorkie and more.
