If you’re lucky enough to have outside space and make the most of the glorious weather expected to last into next week, why not celebrate this weekend with a barbecue and these brand new burgers from Iceland.
The supermarket chain is launching an innovative new burger that’s set to change the barbecue habits of shoppers across the nation.
The Luxury Butter Beef Burger (£2, for 284g) is made with a combination of high quality 100% British beef and butter, resulting in a stunning, juicy burger that’s like no other available on supermarket shelves.
These are available online and in stores now so stock up on the new burgers whilst you can because they won’t last on shelves for long. To find your nearest Iceland store and opening times, use the handy store locater tool.
The burger was inspired by the famous Wisconsin Butter Burger, which is known for its tender and juicy profile. However, the chefs in Iceland’s kitchen were surprised when they heard that the burger in fact contains no butter, but this gave them an idea – creating a unique mince blend of British beef and butter to create the ultimate juicy burger.
Our mouths are watering at the thought of this one, hitting the grill this weekend.
In order to ensure an equal spread of butter across the entire burger, Iceland’s chefs decided to combine it with the meat during the mincing process. This helps to keep it as moist as possible, whilst adding a gentle buttery note to the meat as the butter disperses throughout the burger, basting itself during cooking. So let dry burgers be a thing of the past with Iceland’s latest discovery.
Iceland is convinced that it’s created the juiciest burger available this summer and recommends barbecue enthuasists keep it simple to help the beef shine. Serve it in a brioche roll with lettuce, tomato, pickles, crispy bacon and melted cheddar for the ultimate BBQ experience. Not forgetting some scrumptious sauce.
What’s more, Iceland is the one stop shop for the best BBQ possible this summer thanks to its extensive range of BBQ treats.
From Sriracha BBQ Chicken Thigh Chops (£3, 520g) and Bombay Chicken Skewers (£3, 300g) to Pork and Caramelised Onion Sausages (£2.25, 500g) and Luxury Aberdeen Angus ½ Pounder Burgers (£3.25, 454g), there’s something for everyone at Iceland.
