Iceland launch Christmas dinner pie and reveal when it will go on sale

The nights are drawing in and that gives us all the perfect excuse to start looking forward to a bit of autumn/winter over indulgence and of course the best time to do that is Christmas.

In the same week that Cadbury launched their Build Your Own Chocolate Cottages and their Aldi have excited shoppers with their 6 foot long pigs in blankets and , Iceland might just have climbed to the top of the leaderboard for festive food so far with their Christmas dinner pie.

The 220g bit of pastry heaven is filled with turkey, a pig in blanket, sprouts, cranberries, smoked bacon, onions, peas, carrots and stuffing encased in a buttery pie crust.

The single portion pie is the perfect for those who can’t wait for the family Christmas dinner on the big day, and want a slice of the action ahead of December 25.

The Festive Pie will be available in Iceland stores across the UK from November 18. A spokesperson for Iceland confirmed that the price of the pie will be revealed in November.

Iceland to open its first cafe

Iceland have been in the headlines this week for the launch of their No Porkies Vegan Sausage Rolls, which, working out at 33p each, are even cheaper than Greggs massively popular version!
