Iceland issues urgent recall for chicken dippers which may pose choking hazard

Supermarket chain Iceland has issued an urgent product recall for chicken dippers which could pose a choking hazard.

Anyone who has bought a packet is urged not to eat them, but return them to the shop for a full refund.

The food store has removed its 60-pack of crispy chicken dippers from freezers and is asking customers to return those they have bought.

The packets could contain pieces of hard plastic.

A Food Standards Agency statement reads: "This product may contain pieces of hard plastic which makes the product unsafe to eat."

All date codes before January 9, 2021 are being recalled, DevonLive reports.

Meanwhile, bakery company Tan Y Castell is recalling its chocolate chip griddles because the product may contain milk not mentioned on the label.

The product could be unsafe for customers with a milk intolerance and those customers are urged to return the cakes for a full refund.

Affected products:  The  6-pack  of cakes with the  batch code 5060001830018  and a best before date of  July 7, July 13, July 21, July 24, August 4, August 11 or August 17 this year.
