Iceland is selling spicy chicken nuggets made with the world's hottest chilli pepper

Iceland has announced the launch of spicy chicken nuggets so hot they come with a warning.

The new Chicken Breast Fillet Chunks are coated in Carolina Reaper, which is 200 times hotter than a mere jalapeño.

In fact the spicy nuggets are so outrageous, Iceland has advised shoppers to purchase with extreme caution.

The Carolina Reaper Chicken Breast Fillet Chunks cost £3 and Iceland say are best consumed with a "side of yoghurt and a glass full of milk."

This is because the tender chunks of coated chicken have been liberally covered in seasoning spiked with the world’s hottest chilli pepper, which they say scored up to 2.2 million units on the Scoville Scale.

It comes following the success of Iceland's Scarily Spicy range in 2019.

Products included the Carolina Reaper Curry (£2.00, 375g), as well as its Scarily Spicy Pizza (£1.59, 350g) and Scarily Spicy Carolina Reaper Chicken Strips (£3.00, 540g).

Iceland’s spicy range has previously shocked chilli experts in the UK.

Jay, from YouTube's Clifton Chilli Club, said: "These are by far the hottest products we've tasted from a supermarket."
