Iceland is selling prosecco for £5 but you can get it for just £4.50 with a clever hack

Let's be honest, who doesn't love a drop of fizz now and again? Whether you regularly partake in Fizz Friday or need little excuse to pop some corks, prosecco is definitely one of the nation's favourite tipples.

So there is sure to be plenty of interest in Iceland's latest deal, which has seen the supermarket slash the price of its prosecco to just £5.

As things stand, Iceland is set to sell the cheapest supermarket prosecco this Easter with La Gioiosa Prosecco (75cl) on sale for just £5 down from £10.

But that’s not all – shoppers can save an additional 50p (making a bottle of prosecco just £4.50) with an Iceland savings hack.

Until Sunday, April 7, Iceland shoppers (no minimum spend!) will be presented with a 10% voucher on their receipt, to claim their 10% they simply need to present the receipt the next time they shop in Iceland (between April 12 and 23).

The thirst quenching offer follows hot on the heels of the news that Iceland will sell a whole leg of lamb for £10 , with the lamb big enough to feed the whole family.

The Whole Leg of Lamb, which will go on sale on April 8, can be stored in the freezer until the chef is ready to get started with the dinner.

There are branches of Iceland in and around Newcastle in the likes of Blaydon, Benwell, Gateshead and Wallsend.
