Iceland holidays are going from £399pp with a Blue Lagoon visit and volcano hike

Intrepid explorers can now book a holiday to Iceland from £399pp which includes a spa treatment at the iconic Blue Lagoon, and a volcano hike.

Icelandair has launched a new package for adventurers, which also includes your return UK flights, 23kg checked luggage, and three nights at CenterHotels Plaza on a bed and breakfast basis.

Iceland is currently on the UK's green list of 12 countries and territories, so a holiday could be on the cards - although it's worth noting that the country is currently only open to British visitors who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (aka have received both doses of one of the approved vaccines).

For those who can visit, there's no denying that this package is ideal for those looking for a bit of adventure.

For a start, you'll get to enjoy a trip to the iconic Blue Lagoon with its geothermal waters and beautiful mountain views where you can enjoy a luxurious spa treatment.

The package will also include a guided hike to the Fagradalsfjall volcano which has been erupting since March, with ample opportunity to learn more about the volcanic landscape and take in the views of the glowing rivers of orange lava.

The hike itself can take up to two hours and is described as 'moderate difficulty', but you'll also be treated to two hours around the volcanic site to explore and take in the breathtaking vistas.

Meanwhile, the CenterHotels Plaza's location in Reykjavik means you'll be in an ideal location for accessing some of Iceland's most beautiful locations, from black sand beaches to epic waterfalls.

Oh, and you may want to leave space on the itinerary for Iceland's ridiculously cool new Sky Lagoon too. The new attraction recently opened earlier this year, and offers a huge natural infinity pool that's 264ft-long and looks out to the North Atlantic Ocean, a sauna with epic views of the landscape, and heaps of oceanfront dining experiences.

You can book the Iceland packages on the Icelandair website here, with the deal valid for travel between June 8 through to September 8.

Prices start from £399pp when departing from Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow, or from £419pp from Heathrow. You'll need to book by May 31, 2021 in order to snap up the offer.
