Iceland fans keen to get their hands on £2.25 'old school' favourite

Iceland shoppers are desperate to get their hands on an "old school" favourite after it was shared on social media.

The supermarket is well known for its popular products, with shoppers often keen to snap up everything from baked goods to pizza and desserts. Now, one Iceland product has been shared online, and shoppers can’t stop talking about it.

This week, dedicated foodie Instagram page Kev's Snack Reviews tried and tasted the store's £2.25 Spam fritters.

He said: "Apparently these SPAM Fritters are selling like hotcakes at the moment due to the Cost of Living crisis." The product is available in original, as well as "cheesy" fritters with a melted cheese centre.

Kev added: "I haven’t had SPAM since I was a kid, but these were actually rather good. The SPAM centre is pretty firm with the classic pork and ham taste and the cheese works well with it. There’s a good amount of batter without overdoing it. They make for a filling meal along with beans and curly fries!"

Fellow users were quick to comment on the post, after Kev gave the fritters a decent 8/10 rating. One said: "I’ve had these. Thought they were delicious".

A second said: "These are the bomb, dead thick too", while a third added: "Omg old school or what? They actually look really nice though". A fourth tagged a friend before saying: "Trip to Iceland please".

Iceland's Spam Fritters cost £2.25 for a pack of four and you can shop them here.
