Ice warning issued to Glasgow drivers amid cold snap and low temperatures

Glasgow drivers have been warned to drive with care due to a risk of ice.

This week the weather couldn't be more different from last, with a Yellow warning in place for ice from Met Office bosses.

The weather warning is in place until at least 10AM but could be extended.

it warns of snow and hail showers as well as icy surfaces to cause some traffic disruption.

Transport Scotland bosses issued a warning this morning to all drivers in the Strathclyde region to proceed with care.

They wrote: "Road users are advised to drive with care due to low temperatures and the risk of ice currently affecting driving conditions on many roads throughout the region."

The weather today will reach a high around 7 degrees, with lows from freezing at 8AM this morning.

Temperature are set to remain low for the majority of the week.
