There are, of course, lots of interesting things happening at Hay festival, from news of the Nobel laureate's next project, words from the likes of Beryl Bainbridge and Blake Morrison, to political gossip from Lord Butler among others.
But what's really important, what we want to know here on WoM is, of course, what are they all eating?
We sent Sarfraz Manzoor to find out, and by the sounds of things - and despite the organic and fine dining options on offer - that literary lot are subsisting on crisps and ice cream, bacon and lots and lots of coffee.
And there's some poor soul milking a dairy cow just to supply all the lattes ...
