Ice cream man's shock when James Corden and David Hasselhoff both hire his van in the same fortnight

A man who runs an ice cream van in a small town in Wales, U.K. was delighted when both James Corden and David Hasselhoff hired his services in the same fortnight.

Che Hunter, 35, of Barry, Wales says that the former Baywatch star, 66, was the first celeb to sample his wares, on July 4, in Cardiff.

“David Hasselhoff's brother works for an engineering company called Sir Robert McAlpine, which is nearby, so he was in town to visit him on the site,” said Che.

“They hired my van to park up on the site for the day, so everyone could have ice creams while he was there.

“He was really nice, he was happy to speak to everyone, he said my ice cream was fab.

“He had one called a Bunny’s Ears, it’s a Mr Whippy ice cream with two chocolate flakes, so that it looks like a rabbit with ears.”

On Sunday, July 14th James Corden, Ruth Jones and the crew of their sitcom Gavin & Stacey needed Che’s van to keep everyone happy while they filmed the latest season of the show in Barry.

“James was really thankful that I could do the event, he didn’t have an ice cream though.

“At the end of the day James and Ruth left a note on my van to say thank you. It was very sweet.”

Che, who has been running his van for eleven years, says that before his celebrity double whammy he’d never had any famous people visit his van.

“I may as well re-name my van A-List Ice Creams now though,” he joked.

“I might get a couple of t-shirts made and make a wall of fame, do a bit of rebranding.”
