NEW DELHI: Ahead of the 2025 U19 Women's T20 World Cup, a number of the game's future stars came together for the Captains' Day photo session at the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.
The captains of the 16 teams posed with the tournament trophy while eyeing the silverware they would be lifting on February 2.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) took to X to share a photo of the occasion:
India, the defending champions, and Malaysia, the hosts, were standing closest to the trophy before the other 14 team captains followed.

India captain Niki Prasad said the occasion motivates her even more to win more awards for her nation and equal the feats of her compatriots from two years prior.
"Coming to the Captains' Day and meeting the other 15 captains was a great experience, and to do it in front of the towers in Kuala Lumpur makes it extra special," Prasad told ICC.
"Looking at the trophy on display, I'm excited to go out with my teammates and try and defend the trophy won by Team India in 2023."
With the 16 teams dispersing throughout the nation for group stage play starting on January 18, this is the only occasion that the captains of the various teams will be together.
While Group B teams travel south to Johor, near the Singaporean border, Group C teams go to Sarawak on the island of Borneo. The action in Groups A and B is still taking place throughout Bayuemas Oval and UKM Oval, respectively, on the outskirts of the capital.

The competition will consist of 41 games, with the top three clubs from each group moving on to two Super Six groups.
With the top two teams in each Super Six group advancing to the semi-finals, group stage points earned against other advancing teams carry over into the second round.
