Ibrox incident: Police probe unexplained death of man found on street

Police have launched a probe into the unexplained death of a man in Ibrox this morning.

Emergency services were called to Copland Street near Ibrox Stadium around 9.15am following the sudden death of a man.

A police cordon was put in place and the road closed in both directions between Summertown Road and Copland Place.

Police confirm that there appears to be no suspicious circumstances.

Enquiries are ongoing and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We were called around 9.15am on Tuesday, 18 August, 2020, following the sudden death of a man in the street at Copland Road, Glasgow.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained, however there appear to be no suspicious circumstances. Enquiries are ongoing and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
