Ibrahima Konate snubs Virgil van Dijk and drops cryptic Liverpool hint over Jurgen Klopp

Ibrahima Konate is well-aware that he is being heavily linked with a summer move to Liverpool.

Afterall, the defender admitted he was woken up by several messages after transfer links to Liverpool first emerged last month.

And it appears such speculation was playing on his mind when taking part in a game of 'In That Order' on the UMM YouTube channel earlier this week.

Giggling throughout, one of the questions put to the 21-year-old asked him to rank three of football's most high-profile managers in Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp. Well-aware that whatever answer he chose would create headlines, he was mercifully allowed to sidestep the question by host Harry Pinero.

"No, no, no, no. I think I cannot answer this question," he laughed. "I don't know, I don't know, I don't know."

However, he was later asked to choose the best defender in the world between Virgil van Dijk, Sergio Ramos and David Alaba.

Regardless of whether he'll find himself playing alongside the Dutchman next season or not, he ultimately snubbed Liverpool's number four when ranking the trio with his chosen answer one that will prove to be particular unpopular with Reds fans.

"Ramos. Number one of course," he insisted without hesitation. "Van Dijk then Alaba."
