Ibrahima Diallo officially becomes a member of the Ohio State basketball team

We already received notice from Ibrahima Diallo’s Twitter post that he had chosen Ohio State over Pittsburgh, but now we get the official word from Ohio State itself via a Twitter post. That’s right — the 7-0 big man is now officially a member of the 2019 class after reportedly singing his letter of intent Friday.

That should put a wrap on the four-man 2019 class that ends up being a top ten national class according to 247Sports, and the top class in the Big Ten.

Diallo may need to develop his offensive game, but he comes ready and willing to provide a much-needed rim protector and long presence down in the post for the bigger teams that gave Ohio State issues last year.

The addition becomes even more important if Kaleb Wesson makes the decision not to come back to college after making himself eligible for the NBA Draft. Either way, this signing of a three-star recruit isn’t going to make a big splash around the country, but it’s a very underrated and fills a huge need for Chris Holtmann and the Buckeyes.
