IBPS Clerk notification 2026 out: Check state-wise vacancies, fees, how to apply, eligibility, salary and more

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the schedule for the Customer Service Associate (CSA) recruitment process, formerly known as IBPS Clerk recruitment. Candidates can submit their online applications and pay the application fee from August 1, 2025, to August 21, 2025.

The edit or modification window for applications will be opened after the registration process closes, with details to be announced on the official IBPS website. The Pre-Examination Training (PET) is scheduled for September 2025, while preliminary examinations will be conducted in October 2025. The preliminary exam results are expected in November 2025, followed by the main examination in November 2025. Provisional allotment is scheduled for March 2026.

How to apply for IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026

Candidates can complete the application process by following these steps:

  • Visit the official IBPS website.
  • Click on the CRP CSA-XVI (IBPS Clerk 2026) registration link.
  • Register using a valid email ID and mobile number.
  • Fill in the application form with required details.
  • Upload photograph, signature and other necessary documents.
  • Pay the application fee online.
  • Submit the form and download the confirmation page for future reference.

Participating banks under IBPS CSA recruitment

The recruitment process will be conducted for Customer Service Associate posts across participating public sector banks, including:

  • Bank of Baroda
  • Canara Bank
  • Indian Overseas Bank
  • UCO Bank
  • Bank of India
  • Central Bank of India
  • Punjab National Bank
  • Union Bank of India
  • Bank of Maharashtra
  • Indian Bank
  • Punjab & Sind Bank

Eligibility criteria and age limit

Applicants must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1997, and not later than August 1, 2005. Age relaxation will be applicable for eligible reserved categories as per government rules.

Since recruitment for clerical cadre posts in public sector banks is conducted on a State/Union Territory-wise basis, candidates can apply for vacancies in only one State or UT. They will generally appear for the online examination at a centre in the selected State or UT. However, IBPS may allot an examination centre outside the chosen State or UT depending on administrative requirements and other factors.

Application fee details

Candidates are required to pay the application fee online between August 1 and August 21, 2025.

  • SC, ST, PwBD, ESM and DESM candidates: ₹175 (including GST)
  • All other candidates: ₹850 (including GST)

Online transaction charges for fee payment will be borne by the candidates.

Salary details for Customer Service Associate post

Selected candidates for the Customer Service Associate position will receive a basic pay scale of ₹24,050 to ₹64,480. The post will also include allowances and benefits as per the rules of the participating bank applicable from time to time.

IBPS Clerk 2026 exam pattern

The preliminary examination will be conducted online and will consist of three objective tests. Candidates will have to qualify in each section by securing the cut-off marks decided by IBPS.

The preliminary exam will include:

  • English Language: 30 questions, 30 marks, 20 minutes
  • Numerical Ability: 35 questions, 35 marks, 20 minutes
  • Reasoning Ability: 35 questions, 35 marks, 20 minutes

The total duration of the preliminary examination will be 60 minutes, with separate timings for each section. Candidates shortlisted based on the preliminary exam performance will appear for the main examination.

IBPS Clerk 2026 vacancies

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced 9,788 indicative vacancies for the post of Customer Service Associate (commonly known as IBPS Clerk) under the Common Recruitment Process CRP CSA-XV, meant for recruitment across 11 participating public sector banks for the financial year 2026-27. Online registration is scheduled from August 1 to August 21, 2025, with the preliminary examination expected in October 2025 and the main examination in November 2025. Uttar Pradesh has the highest allocation with 1,315 vacancies, followed by Karnataka (1,170) and Maharashtra (1,117). The vacancies are indicative and subject to change based on actual requirements reported by the participating banks.
