Ianis Hagi transfer latest as Rangers star linked with surprise Bochum move

Bundesliga promotion chasers Bochum have joined the race to sign Ianis Hagi, according to a report.

The Rangers playmaker has been linked with a move away this summer despite an impressive campaign.

He’s played a key part in the Ibrox side winning the league with eight goals and 12 assists in all competitions.

That includes vital winners in close games against the likes of Hibs and St Johnstone at key times in the season.

But despite that, he has found himself in and out of the team and has regularly been used as a substitute in the big games by Steven Gerrard.

Lazio and Sevilla have both been heavily linked with a move for him but a report in his homeland states Bochum are now interested.

Sport say the Bundesliga 2 side want to build their team around him next season if they earn promotion to the top flight.

Hagi has moved a lot in his career after starting at Viitorul Constanta before joining Fiorentina.

He then returned to his first club before struggling at Genk and then joining Rangers in January 2020 on an initial loan deal before it was turned permanent in the summer.
