Ianis Hagi's frustration as Rangers star slams Romania manager for Nations League thrashing

Rangers star Ianis Hagi vented his frustration on international duty after his Romania side were thrashed 4-0 by Norway.

Borussia Dortmund star Erling Braut Haaland slammed in a hat-trick in the Nations League clash, with Alexander Sorloth also scoring.

Hagi, son of Romania legend Gheorghe, is used to playing a possession-based game at Rangers.

And after the defeat he hit out at the tactics of coach Mirel Radoi.

Hagi said after the match: "It is a result we did not expect, it is a big disappointment, but this is not the face of the national team.

"If we complain after every match, even after painful results, it's not good. We just have to look to the national team's next match.

"You should ask the manager about why we didn't have chances.

"You run after the ball for four or five minutes then when you have it at your feet you can't do anything. You lose your energy, your breath, and all you can do is draw a foul.

"We are at the beginning of the road with the new coach and we could not apply on the field what is transmitted to us from the sidelines.

"I'm very upset so I don't want to say anything stupid.

"Football is a collective sport. We didn't play well, you could feel it on the pitch and I'm sure you could see it on TV.

"When you don't play well collectively you can't be efficient individually. But I think we have players who can make a difference."
