Rangers star Ianis Hagi is targeting reaching the World Cup after scoring his first goal for Romania.
The Romanians held a two-goal lead going into the last 10 minutes, before quick-fire goals levelled for North Macedonia.
However, the Ibrox playmaker was the hero for his country as the thumped the decisive strike into the bottom corner with five minutes left on the clock.
It gets Romania off to the perfect start as they aim to reach their first World Cup since 1998 - when Ianis' dad Gheorghe was starring for the side.
After a successful Premiership campaign with Rangers, the 22-year-old admits he has high hopes to make it to Qatar.
It will be a huge ask with Germany and Iceland in their group, but after the showing Hagi was confident of a dark horse run to the tournament.
He told Pro TV: "The last 15 minutes we weren't careful, that team.
"It's hard when there is so much space on 16 meters in the last 10 minutes, it's normal to score. It's a mistake of the team, not of certain players.

"I am happy that I managed to score the winning goal and I managed to start with a victory.
"It's the first match in the qualifying campaign, we want to be at the World Cup, it doesn't matter who scores. There are nine more matches, I think that's the right mentality.
"I'm happy, but it's the first match, there are nine more."
