Ianis Hagi repeats Rangers catchphrase as Ibrox star as he gushes over 'electrifying' atmosphere

"Ibrox baby, it's just different".

It's only five words but Rangers fans latched onto it and loved it as soon as Ianis Hagi uttered them and now he's repeated them again.

It was all over social media within minutes of Hagi saying them in his post match interview following Rangers' 3-2 win over Braga.

One supporter even made a promise to get the statement tattooed on himself.

The 21-year-old has clearly realised how much the fans loved his comments as he repeated them on social media on Friday evening.

He posted: "Outstanding performance by the team, what a comeback RangersFC! The fans were unbelievable, the atmosphere was electryifying. Ibrox baby, it's just different."

The Romanian was the key figure behind Rangers' comeback as he scored twice with his superstar dad Gheorghe watching on from the director's box.

Hagi Snr looked emotional in the stand as his son netted the third goal of the game but had earlier denied he was crying - blaming the cold weather for his reaction.

He said: "Ianis is fit, plays well and is happy.

"He has clearly chosen the ideal team, the ideal club and he is doing very well.

"From now on, I'll let you see how he's doing for himself. He will be the one doing the speaking and we'll just enjoy how he's doing.

"And I wasn't crying. The reason it looked like there was tears in my eyes is because it was very cold.

"I want to say well done and congratulations to Rangers because they played a tremendous match.

"They have a chance of qualifying, but they are playing against a very good team in Braga.

"I don't need to say anything to Ianis, he knows what to do.

"Yes, I did discuss him with Steven Gerrard before the match. That's all I want to say about the night."
