Ianis Hagi believes Rangers' fast start in the transfer market shows they mean business next season.
Steven Gerrard moved quickly to turn the Romanian's loan from Genk into a permanent deal before adding Leicester City's Calvin Bassey.
The defender is set to join Hagi at training in the coming days as the Ibrox side return following a three month lockdown lay-off.
Rangers are preparing for the most significant Premiership season in recent history as they bid to stop Celtic winning a historic Ten in a Row.
And Hagi is heartened the club haven't allowed the current crisis to stop them conducting some early business.
"It's a positive sign that the club, even in these difficult moments, they react," he told Rangers TV.
"It gives not only the players, but everyone who loves Rangers, a positive sign that we're back for the new season and we want to compete for everything.
"It's really nice, I can't wait to meet Calvin."
Hagi quickly established himself as a fan favourite following his January arrival from the Belgians after he produced two memorable displays in the Europa League against Braga.
His permanent signing sparked joy among supporters on social media and the 22-year-old admits he was overwhelmed with messages.
Hagi added: "It's great. The love that they've shown me these past four, five, six months... it's amazing.
"Especially after the deal was made and everything was over I got so many reactions on social media.
"I just have to thank them, they were great.
"Now, I just can't wait to meet them again and play for them."
