Ianis Hagi on fulfilling his Rangers dream as Braga hero delivers brilliant Ibrox one-liner

Hero Ianis Hagi insists his winning goal against Braga is a dream come true.

The January new boy sparked a sensational second half comeback as Steven Gerrard's side came from two goals down to claim an unlikely 3-2 victory against the Portuguese side.

Hagi handed Rangers a lifeline as he clawed one back for the Light Blues, before Joe Aribo levelled things up with a brilliant finish after a mazy solo run.

The Romanian international then stepped up to hit a free kick and his deflected effort sailed past the helpless Braga keeper to seal the win.

Asked if this was the best moment of his career so far, he told BT Sport: "I guess so. I also had good moments before but scoring a brace in the European competition, its everything.

"My dreams are coming true.

"Even at 2-0 you just can't stop, especially when you are at home.

"We just had to say positive, work for it and amazing things happen at Ibrox.

Ibrox was rocking by the end of it and Hagi says the atmosphere on a European night is hard to explain."

He added: "It's amazing, it's amazing.

"Ibrox baby, oh man it's just different."

Braga were dominant in the first half, but Rangers looked a different team when Aribo came on as a second half substitute.

But Hagi knows it's only half time in the tie and that there is a lot of work to be done.

He said: "It was a difficult game, we knew Braga would come here and play. The last two months they have played really well in Portugal.

"It's just the first leg, we have to play next week. It was difficult in the beginning, 50/50 in the first half.

"They scored their goals, we missed our opportunities. In the end it is good we have won the game, but in the end we need to finish it next week."
