Ianis Hagi in Rangers celebration malfunction as Romanian star takes dramatic Boxing Day tumble

Rangers goal hero Ianis Hagi couldn't quite nail his celebration after putting the Light Blues 1-0 up against Hibs.

The Romanian typically likes to take a bow after hitting the net but he opted for something more traditional after poking home against Jack Ross' side.

However, things didn't quite go to plan.

Hagi looked in a deal of pain when his knee slide on the Ibrox turf went awry after he converted Kemar Roofe 's cut-back.

His knee seemed to catch on the turf, causing him to hit the deck.

It's a mistake he won't make again and the son of Romania legend Gheorghe Hagi then performed his regular celebration to make up for it.

The goal against Hibs was Hagi's third goal in his last three starts and the former Genk man is beginning to prove why Steven Gerrard was right to sign him permanently for £3m.

His Rangers side are 19 points clear in the Premiership with Celtic set to face Hamilton later on Saturday afternoon.
