Ianis Hagi delights young fan as Rangers star responds to supporter plea after Romania win

He's got two assists in two games for Romania this week but it's not just on the park that Ianis Hagi is impressing during the international break.

The Rangers playmaker has started the season in fine form and continued that as a substitute against Iceland and then from the start against Liechtenstein.

And with one more game to go in this international window against North Macedonia, Hagi is hoping to continue that form before returning to Rangers this weekend.

But he was also delighting fans off the pitch with the Ibrox star gifting his shirt away to a delighted young fan after a plea from the crowd.

Hagi spotted a supporter with a sign which asked for his shirt and he was only too happy to oblige as he opened up on his delight that fans are back in stadia.

Speaking after the game, he said: "So far so good, we started this series of matches as we wanted, and now we have a hard trip to Northern Macedonia. We want three points and then to return to the club teams. Tonight we won three points.

"The most important thing today was that I played with the fans in the stadium again. The national team missed the fans a lot. I already gave the shirt to a child, it's normal and I was a fan.

"I'm still a football fan and I know what it's like. I love playing with a fan in the stands, both at home and away."

Hagi was an unused sub in Rangers win over Celtic last time out but has been impressive for Steven Gerrard's men so far this season.
