The Romanian FA have agreed a compromise that means Ianis Hagi will only spend ten days in isolation, according to a report.
It means he will only miss Rangers ' clash with St Johnstone this weekend - as opposed to the five games it was previously feared.
Hagi tested positive for coronavirus while on international duty in North Macedonia and it initially seemed he would be trapped indoors for nearly three weeks.
That's because of local rules that mean positive tests who display 'active' symptoms must spend 20 days in isolation by law.
But The Sun say the Romanian FA have agreed on an exception with the North Macedonian government that means Hagi can leave after ten days.
With Rangers' Europa League opener against Lyon on the horizon Hagi's results and isolation period will now come under scrutiny.
Were he to be out for 20 days, he'd miss the Lyon clash, as well as further ties with Motherwell, Livingston and Dundee in a huge blow to Steven Gerrard's team.
