Ianis Hagi and Scott Wright in Rangers injury doubt as Michael Beale hints at absences

Michael Beale has revealed Rangers could be without two of their most on form players for Sunday's Premiership clash with Ross County.

The Ibrox first team coach was quick to point out the strength in depth in the squad as he admitted there were doubts over Ianis Hagi and Scott Wright.

Both players were likely to be in line for a start after being singled out for praise by Steven Gerrard following the 1-0 win over Alashkert in the Europa League.

But Beale has revealed the pair could miss the next couple of games after picking up knocks in the first leg win at Ibrox, in a major blow to Gerrard's plans.

The Ibrox boss has been unable to get a settled run of players in his team with injuries and suspensions forcing him to chop and change and it's been noticeable in his side's performances.

And Beale told RangersTV:“At the moment, there’s a lot of little things that we’re managing. Playing with ten men for a period on Thursday night and having to force the game to get the win, one or two players got knocks.

“You could probably see that with Ianis and Scott Wright so we’ve been assessing them over the last 48 hours. That’s where Jordan Millsom and his department really come in to get people back on the pitch.

“There’s a lot going on with the squad that’s background noise. We’re managing one or two things that people won’t be aware of.

“It’s very rare these days for professional players to go on the pitch 100 per cent fresh. That doesn’t happen often.

“At this moment, we’re assessing one or two players from Thursday night that maybe won’t be available for the next couple of games unfortunately.

“But that’s the benefit of a strong squad; that other players will come in and show their worth.”
