Ian Wright sends message to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after record-breaking Arsenal goal

Ian Wright has sent a message to Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after the forward struck record-breaking goal against Norwich City.

The Gunners made it three consecutive victories in a row across all competitions with a resounding 4-0 victory against Norwich City in their first home match since the season resumed.

Aubameyang capitalised on a Tim Krul error to open the scoring against the Canaries and in doing so became the fastest-ever player in the club's history to hit 50 Premier League goals.

Efforts from Granit Xhaka and a debut goal from Cedric Soares, either side of Aubameyang's second of the evening, set-up the Gunners' biggest win of the restart.

Aubameyang's form led to more calls for the Gabon international to pen a new deal with the club, having entered the final 12 months of his current agreement, and Wright issued a message to the forward on social media.

"50 goals in 79 games!!!! Legendary stuff. Elite striker. Congratulations," he posted on Twitter.

Arsenal are back in action this weekend with a trip to face Wolves, which kickstarts a tricky run of fixtures as that's followed by clashes with Leicester City, Tottenham and Liverpool.
