Ian Wright sends message to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after 'no new Arsenal contract' claim

Ian Wright has sent a message to both Arsenal and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang saying he'll sign a contract if the Gunners captain isn't tied down soon.

The former Gunners forward, 56, wrote on Twitter: "Taking so long gonna sign da ting myself," tagging Arsenal and Aubameyang in the post.

He also posted a picture of himself holding a pen to paper with a big smile on his face.

Aubameyang has reportedly been locked in a stand-off with the Gunners, with Arsenal apparently desperate for him to sign a new deal.

The contract on the table is said to be worth £250,000 per week for the next three years.

But Aubameyang claimed during an Instagram Live with his brother Willy that no such deal has yet been presented to him to sign.

The Gabon international said: "Everyone is showing the pen & paper but I still don't have the papers bruv!"

Aubameyang did however suggest good news is around the corner for all parties involved, adding: "Have a good night, enjoy and hopefully great news for everybody."

Arsenal recently signed Willian on a free transfer after he left Chelsea.

The Brazilian is keen for Aubameyang to commit his future to Arsenal, as he believes it will help his quest to win more trophies.

Willian told The Sun: "I joined Arsenal because we can challenge for titles. But Pierre will be a big part of the plan He has to stay - it is very important to me."
