Ian Wright and Rob Holding have sent a classy message to outgoing defender Zech Medley after the Arsenal defender joined KV Oostende.
The 20-year-old joined the Hale End academy in 2016 from Chelsea, where he captained the Under-18s at times, before establishing himself as a staple for the U23s.
Medley spent last season on loan, firstly at Gillingham before switching to Kilmarnock for the second half of the campaign.
football.london understands that Mikel Arteta wanted to keep Medley at the club, but the youngster wanted a fresh challenge after a four-and-a-half year stay in north London, which is why he's now moved to Belgium.
Medley took to his Instagram page to bid an emotional farewell to Arsenal after his spell in the capital.
The caption read: "In the last 5 years God blessed me with an opportunity to live a dream I've had since a kid!
"During this time I've been able to make brothers for life and memories I'm certain I'll never forget.
"I would like to thank everyone involved at Arsenal for the amazing journey and learning experiences I've had to make me into the player I am today and especially my family who have been there for me every single step of the way!
"But now the time has come for me to move on in my career and start a new chapter.
"I will always have love for this club the same way I did when I was growing up! All the best in the future! Once a gooner! #AFC #GodsPlan."
Responding to his post, Arsenal legend Wright simply wrote: "All the best Zech (three love heart emojis)."

He also received messages from Reiss Nelson and Tyreece John-Jules, who put love heart emojis on the post, with Holding saying: "All the best big man! (love heart and hands raised emojis)."
The Gunners also confirmed the departures of two other youngsters.
Trae Cole has signed for Lausanne-Sport on a permanent deal, while Mark McGuinness has moved to Cardiff City on a three-year contract.
