Ian Wright has backed Leeds United to end their 16-year wait for Premier League football this season.
The Whites sit top of the Championship after 26 matches, nine points clear of third-place Brentford.
It was a position that the Whites sat in this time last season, which has prevented any Leeds fan from getting ahead of themselves with so much Championship football left to be played this season.
However, against Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup, United once again showed their true quality under Marcelo Bielsa as they went toe to toe with a Premier League giant.
Despite a 1-0 defeat, that saw Leeds crash out of the cup competition at the third-round stage, the first-half performance showed Bielsa's side could mix it with the best.
It was another reminder, as if the travelling 8,000 Leeds fans needed one, that this is a side capable of competing with the very best in England.
As a result, Wright has insisted that he believes Leeds will return to the promised land this season by earning promotion to the Premier League.
"I thought all that stuff that happened with Derby was fascinating when you see how his (Bielsa) brain works," Wright told the BBC ahead of kick-off at the Emirates.
"I've watched Leeds, I've seen Leeds a lot of times, they're an exciting team and it should be a game they're really looking forward to.
"I fancy Leeds to come up this year and this is a game they should be looking forward to in order to make an impression."
