Ian Wright's dramatic reactions encapsulate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's display vs Olympiacos

Arsenal snatched defeat from the jaws of victory as they lost out against Olympiacos on away goals in the Europa League.

The Gunners were taken to extra time by the Greek side at the Emirates Stadium, after Pape Abou Cisse scored the only goal of the game in the 90 minutes of the second leg.

But Arsenal looked to have won the game when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored in the second half of extra time to put the Gunners 2-1 ahead on aggregate.

However, the tie was not over there, with Youssef El-Arabi scoring one minute from time in extra time to send Arsenal out of the competition.

Arteta believes Aubameyang doesn't need titles to be considered world-class

There was still time for more drama though, with Aubameyang having the chance to win the tie again for Arsenal, only to put the ball wide from close range.

It was a moment that had Arsenal fans shaking their heads in disbelief as the Gunners' top scorer put his head in his hands.

And former Arsenal striker Ian Wright summed up how Gunners supporters felt with his reaction to the highs and lows of Aubameyang's efforts in the closing stages of the game.

Here's what he said in two separate posts on social media.

Aubameyang has now scored 20 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners this season.

The Gabon striker is currently the joint top scorer in the Premier League with 17 goals, the same number as Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

Aubameyang will be looking to put his miss behind him quickly, with the Gunners facing Portsmouth in the FA Cup on Monday night.
