Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has described the football played by Chelsea during Jose Mourinho's second spell in charge as some of the best he has seen for many years.
Mourinho enjoyed plenty of success during his two spells in charge at Stamford Bridge, winning the Premier League title twice in his first stint, before claiming a third league title in 2014-15 during his second spell.
The Portuguese head coach also had success with Chelsea in the League Cup and FA Cup in the 2006-07 season, while the Blues also won the League Cup in 2004-05 and 2014-15.
But it is during Mourinho's second spell in west London that Wright feels Chelsea fans saw the best football of his time in charge, with Wright likening it to that played by his former club Arsenal during the 2003-04 season, when they were dubbed 'The Invincibles' after going through the whole league campaign unbeaten.
Speaking on a Match of the Day podcast to discuss the top ten managers in the Premier League era, Wright was full of praise for Mourinho during his time at Chelsea.
"When I watch the Chelsea team, especially of his second tenure there, I believe that was the best football I've seen for many years, rivalling 'the invincibles' of Arsenal," he said.
His thoughts were echoed by fellow Match of the Day pundit Alan Shearer, who hailed the Portuguese manager's record in English football from his time with the Blues.
"Jose's record is just incredible," Shearer explained.
"When he first came in he had this arrogance that I think people loved and enjoyed - he had incredible belief in his ability and rightly so."
