It’s been a great week for Bukayo Saka and Arsenal, and Ian Wright was particularly thrilled to see the teenager round things off in style.
The 18-year-old put pen to paper on a new long-term contract at the Emirates Stadium, with Gabriel Martinelli following suit soon after, while talks are thought to be taking place with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang over a new deal.
And the Gunners managed to round off their week by giving their European hopes a major boost with a timely 2-0 victory against Wolves.
Saka opened the scoring at Molineux with his first Premier League goal before Alexandre Lacazette made sure of the three points late on to leave Arsenal seventh in the table.
And after a special seven days, Saka told the BBC: "It has been such a great week, signing my contract and then getting my first Premier League goal. And it wasn't a bad goal either so I'm very happy.
"I have to stay humble and keep my feet on the ground to keep learning.
“It's important for us to have experience and world-class players around to advise us. It was tough for us today but we gave our all and that is what got us over the line."
One man who was particularly delighted to see Saka commit to the Gunners this week was Arsenal legend Wright, who was full of praise for him and the Gunners on Match of the Day on Saturday night.
“I’m delighted for him, a fantastic week for Arsenal with Saka signing, Gabriel Martinelli signing, in talks with Aubameyang,” Wright said.
“The way we are playing is very encouraging, the finish from Saka was beautifully guided.
"He’s just brilliant to see.”
