Ian Wright points out three Arsenal players who may be a problem for Liverpool

Ian Wright has named the Arsenal players that Liverpool will have to keep an eye on when they meet this weekend.

The Reds return to premier League action on Saturday following the final international break of the calendar year.

Jurgen Klopp’s side will be hoping to get back to winning ways following their defeat to West Ham prior to the break.

Liverpool are currently in fourth place, while Arsenal are just two points behind in fifth going into Saturday evening’s clash at Anfield.

Wright, speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show on Youtube, has picked out several players who are to thank for Arsenal’s recent upturn of form.

The Gunners legend has praised centre-backs Gabriel Magalhaes and Ben White, as well as goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

"I love the fact even with Benjamin White when he’s coming out and he said: ‘I don’t watch much football, I just play football’," said Wright.

"I love the fact that he’s brave enough and strong enough to admit that because he can deal with what comes with that.

"But when you look at his performances next to Gabriel, it’s very solid with the goalkeeper. It’s a very good team, those three are very solid.

"They’re footballing centre-halves – into Thomas Partey, into [Albert] Sambi Lokonga."

Wright continued: "Now Arsenal are looking like, with the structure and the way the team is playing, you can see if it has to go long they’ll do that, but if a defender has to run it into the midfield and then go from there, we saw Ben White setting up Emile Smith Rowe’s goal the other day.

"So we’re looking at a team now with a lot of confidence."
