Arsenal legend Ian Wright says if there was one club he could pick to play for today it would be Aston Villa, and not the Gunners.
Dean Smith's side have made a fantastic start to the Premier League season, winning four and losing one of their opening five fixtures, including an incredible 7-2 win over reigning champions Liverpool.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have won three and lost three of their six games so far, with a trip to Old Trafford following Thursday's Europa League clash at home to Dundalk.
Villa have been boosted by the loan signing of Ross Barkley from Chelsea, as well as a £30million deal to sign Ollie Watkins from Brentford this summer.
And Wright says that the Barkley's combination with fellow England international Jack Grealish would have him excited if he were still playing.
"If I had to choose somebody now, I'd want to play for Aston Villa at this moment, because of Jack Grealish and Ross Barkley, only because the work rate that they put in," he said on podcast Wrighty's House.
"I need the freedom Villa have. Villa are a team now that if they were walking down the street they'd be wearing the coolest trainers, the coolest trousers, and that's a great town as well, Birmingham, the vibe there must be incredible.
"I'm desperate for the fans to get back in for Villa now. I'd love Villa to have a blast."
Arsenal and Villa are due to meet over the weekend of November 7 at the Emirates Stadium.
