Ian Wright names the 'embarrassing' situation that Arsenal have put themselves in this season

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has claimed that his former club will be haunted by the 'embarrassing' nature of their Amazon Prime 'All or Nothing' documentary series this season.

The Gunners' north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur have already been a subject of the series over the course of the 2019/20 campaign, which saw their head coach Mauricio Pochettino sacked before Jose Mourinho took over the managerial hot-seat before they finished the season in sixth place.

Spurs were unable to emulate the success of Manchester City, who won the Premier League title whilst the documentary focused on them during the 2017/18 season, something Arsenal will also struggle to reproduce this term.

Wright has admitted that it will be a good watch for neutrals given the chaotic state of the club but also claimed that the Gunners' faithful will be embarrassed by it.

"We have this Amazon thing," Wright told Premier League Productions. "Of course, they will be happy with it because there is so much controversy and so much negativity around it.

"But for Arsenal fans right now, it’s embarrassing for us. Embarrassing."

Wright's comments come out after Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta admitted he wasn't consulted by the club on the decision to film it and the Spaniard will be hoping his side can bounce back from their opening day defeat to Thomas Frank's Brentford side.

"No. It’s a decision made by the club, in the best possible interests of the football club," Arteta stated. "We need to help as much as possible.

"Hopefully it is a perfect year to show that. We need to make it happen.

"It is down to us to try to produce the best piece that we can, so everybody can feel part of what we do and our fans can be proud of what we do."
