Ian Wright makes Premier League title prediction and pinpoints one decisive game

The Premier League title race between Liverpool and Manchester City looks all set to go right down to the wire.

After predicting the outcomes of all of the remaining games for each of the two contenders on Premier League today, Ian Wright reckons just one point will separate the two sides at the end of the season.

And it's good news for Liverpool, who the ex-Arsenal and England striker reckons will lift the crown by the narrowest of margins in what would be a dramatic end to the season.

Wright believes both clubs will drop points at the hands of Tottenham - who Liverpool host next Sunday.

But he reckons the Manchester derby is the decisive fixture which will give Jurgen Klopp's side the edge as old rivals Manchester United offer them a helping hand.

"One point, they’ve done it by one point!” Wright said of Liverpool .

“Well that’s what I’m hoping [that it goes down to the last day].

“I’m really pleased with that because I genuinely believe Tottenham will draw against both of them.

“And I think the Manchester derby at that stage of the season is going to be so intense.

“I can see maybe a draw for Manchester City there as well at United.

“Even just seeing with the champions mark makes me really excited.

“You know my predictions are not a million miles away, I get a lot of correspondence saying ‘you were right, you were right’.

“I hope I’m right, but I can’t see Man City losing too many, I just can’t see them losing too many.

“This is the pressure that both of them are under right now, with massive games in and around it.”

Reds fans will be hoping Wright's predictions come true as they chase their first ever Premier League title at the end of a tense campaign.
