Ian Wright makes Bruno Fernandes prediction after strong Man Utd start

Ian Wright reckons Bruno Fernandes will get better and better at Manchester United as his team-mates get used to playing alongside him.

Fernandes has hit the ground running at Old Trafford following his January switch from Sporting.

He's found the back of the net in each of United's past three fixtures, and is quickly becoming one of the first names on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's teamsheet.

Arsenal favourite Wright spoke out about the midfielder following United's 1-1 draw with Everton on the weekend, where he praised the way in which Fernandes has improved the Red Devils.

"He's put up massive numbers in Portugal and everyone thought 'Well, it's just the Portuguese league'," Wright said on BBC Match of the Day 2.

"What will happen as time goes by is his team-mates will get used to him and what he can do.

"I can't wait to see what happens when they do get used to him. Look at how sharp he is, this is what Man United weren't doing before. Everything [before] was so slow and methodic."

Wright wasn't the only pundit full of praise for the Portuguese, who scored past Toffees shot-stopper with a long-range effort at Goodison Park on Sunday.

Roy Keane said on Sky Sports: "I liked him today, it was the first time I've really watched him live, and there is a lot of quality about him.

"And even to score there, OK we criticise the goalkeeper, but he just lets the ball run. There's enough pace on the pass from [Nemanja] Matic, lovely strike, he hits the target.

"Obviously Ole was critical that he missed a few opportunities in the second half but he's not afraid to try and I don't mind the players missing [if they're trying]."
