Ian Wright issues one-word message after what Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe did vs Slavia Prague

Arsenal are coasting into the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League in the Czech Republic this evening.

After arriving at the Sinobo Stadium for the second-leg of their Europa League quarter-final against Slavia Prague this evening with the scoreline level at 1-1 after the first-leg, there was a sense of nervousness from some Gunners supporters that Mikel Arteta's side may not have things all their own way.

However, Arteta's troops, who arrived in the Czech capital buoyed from Sunday's 3-0 win over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, ran riot in the first 24 minutes, scoring three times to race into a commanding lead.

Nicolas Pepe, who scored in the first-leg a week ago, scored the Gunners' opening goal after 18 minutes before Alexandre Lacazette netted his third goal in two games from the penalty spot just three minutes later.

Three minutes after that, Arsenal's players were racing away to celebrate another goal, this time courtesy of Bukayo Saka's seventh goal of the campaign.

Whilst Lacazette's penalty was cool and Saka's strike was impressive, Pepe's goal was not so spectacular in terms of the finish. However, the assist from Emile Smith Rowe, who returned to the starting line-up at the expense of Gabriel Martinelli, was outstanding.

The Gunners academy graduate held off the attentions of three Slavia defenders whilst running across goal and managed to lay the ball off to Pepe for him to score.

It was an outstanding assist from a player who had just returned from an injury problem and one that will have no doubt left Arteta and the Arsenal supporters in awe.

It also left former Gunners star Ian Wright impressed, who quickly took to social media to declare his admiration for the sublime piece of individual brilliance that Smith Rowe had just produced.

In a one-word Twitter post, Wright simply posted: "Emile," followed by a red love heart emoji.

Though it was only a short statement, it was clear that Wright was impressed by what he had just seen, with just saying Smith Rowe's first name enough to declare his admiration.

This is not the first occasion that Wright has waxed lyrical about Smith Rowe's talents, having heaped praise on his shoulders on BBC Sport following the Gunners' 2-0 FA Cup victory over Newcastle United back in January.

"He's [Smith Rowe’s] quality. Top drawer. He is a real player. Absolutely delighted for him," Wright said.

"It's what he deserved. In the first half we weren't getting enough midfield players joining and in the box and he's someone who does that naturally in his game."
