Ian Wright hints Unai Emery should be sacked as he gives worrying Aubameyang & Lacazette verdict

Ian Wright is as passionate as they come at Arsenal.

The former player and big Gunners fan is never short of an opinion or two.

And he has plenty of platforms to air his views.

The Arsenal legend is often on Match of the Day, asked for his analysis of matches, while he has a burgeoning YouTube channel too.

And he has aired his views on his official Twitter page on Saturday evening, following Arsenal's 2-0 defeat at Leicester City.

Jamie Vardy and James Maddison scored the goals to have the Foxes all three points and leave the Gunners eight points adrift of the top four in sixth place in the Premier League.

There has been plenty of talk in the media about head coach Unai Emery's position at the Emirates, with poor results continuing.

Defeat to Leicester City made it no wins in four and Wright is concerned about the future of not just Emery, but two of the club's stars - Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

Aubameyang's contract runs out in 2021, with Lacazette's due to end in 2022 and the Gunners hierarchy are attempting to tie them down to longer deals, with no luck so far.

Wright is concerned that both will leave.

In a Twitter post, Wright hinted that Emery should be sacked.

He said: "One shot on target tonight!! 2 wins in 10 in the league. No definitive style or plan. Negative goal difference. No improvement in the defence. Not creating anything. Why would Laca or Auba renew? Can't blame them! We have to make the tough decision Arsenal! It's not getting better!"

Arsenal supporters would be loathe to see either of the two frontmen leave and it seems Wright can't see a way in which they would stay.
