Ian Wright 'devastated' by £17m Arsenal transfer as Mikel Arteta faces dressing room crisis

Here's all the news from around the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours.

Arsenal's dressing room crisis

The pressure is increasing on Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta following the 1-0 loss against Burnley.

And things aren't looking too good for the Spaniard behind the scenes.

football.london understands that Arteta's relationship with David Luiz has soured over the past few weeks, with neither the manager or player speaking directly to each other anymore.

Aubameyang opens up on Spurs defeat

Last weekend, Arsenal were beaten 2-0 at north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, and captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted his sadness after the loss.

Two first-half goals from Son Heung-min and Harry Kane were enough for Spurs, as the Gunners were defeated despite having the majority of the ball.

"You know after games like Wolves or Tottenham, for sure we are all frustrated because of how they went and the results we got. I’m the first guy, the captain, so of course I will stay positive, but I’m a human being," Aubameyang said.

"I was sad, to tell the truth, I was sad after the last game because I think the most important thing is we know we can do better and we have to do better.

"I was frustrated but I know this is my job now to turn the things, to keep it positive and to bring always the good vibes to the training ground."

Wright names transfer decision that left him 'devastated'

Ian Wright has admitted Arsenal's decision to sell goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez to Aston Villa in the summer left him 'devastated'.

Martinez signed for Villa in a deal worth around £17m, but Gunners legend Wright thinks his old club may have got that wrong.

"I was devastated to see him leave Arsenal, but he wants to be Argentina number one," the ex-Arsenal striker told BBC Sport.

"He has five clean sheets from nine Premier League games and he is just a very good goalkeeper. He has done brilliantly at Villa and he is helping them to win games."
