Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold will never stop improving as a player, according to Arsenal great turned pundit Ian Wright.
The 22-year-old Scouser fulfilled a childhood dream on Wednesday night when he captained the Reds in the Champions League away to Danish side FC Midtjylland.
Having graduated from the Liverpool Academy and establishing himself in Jurgen Klopp's first team, the lad from West Derby has become an integral part of the Reds side.
As he closes in over 150 Liverpool appearances, Alexander-Arnold has already gained Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA World Club Cup and Premier League winners medals and is rated as one of the finest young players the Reds have produced in years.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright is a big fan and spoke in awe on his Wrighty’s House Podcast (via Hitc ) of how he feels Alexander-Arnold will ‘never stop getting better’.
“I swear to God, he is one of those that it’s refreshing, it’s refreshing,” Wright said.
“We spoke earlier about professional, learning and what he wants to learn.
“He gives me the impression that he is never going to stop learning. He is never going to stop getting better.
“The link with the fans when he explains what it means to him to watch. It was just a privilege to be around him. Shining light he is.”
Alexander-Arnold and Liverpool are next in action on Sunday when they travel to Fulham as their bid to retain the Premier League title continues.
