Ian Wright and Roy Keane agree on how Harry Kane's England form impacts Tottenham

Tottenham striker Harry Kane enjoyed another stellar night as England captain on Monday after netting four times against San Marino.

Kane has endured a difficult start to the season with Spurs but has looked like his prolific self for the Three Lions in recent times. The 28-year-old netted in three consecutive World Cup qualifiers back in September, before notching a hat-trick against Albania on Friday evening.

England's skipper then went one better against San Marino, scoring four goals inside the first-half as the Three Lions went on to win 10-0 to secure qualification for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

He's moved into joint-third on England's all-time top scorer list with 48 goals, just one behind Sir Bobby Charlton and five behind Wayne Rooney.

Although this international break didn't see Kane come up against the toughest of opposition, it's important that he was ruthless when he needed to be, and seven goals in two appearances is only going to boost his confidence ahead of his return to Spurs.

That's something that Ian Wright and Roy Keane agree on at least, as both think that he'll continue to score goals as long as he's getting in the right areas for his club or country.

"I’m always disappointed when he’s too deep," said Wright, whilst speaking on ITV Sport after the game.

"He is someone I’m never worried about if he’s in the right areas getting chances and scoring. Never worried."

Keane believes that Antonio Conte's arrival at Tottenham has given Kane a lift and that was noticeable in his performances for England over the last few days.

"His goals are going to judge him. Goals are the hardest part of the game," said the Manchester United legend.

"I thought his overall game the other night did look better. He looked a bit sharper, he looked a bit stronger, he was holding people off and he has had a few more games under his belt for Tottenham.

"New manager, change at Tottenham, maybe that has lifted his spirits - another new challenge for him. The hardest part of football is putting the ball in the back of the net. He is world class."

The Manchester United legend continued by explaining that Conte will be happy with Kane's international form, as it means he'll be in a good position to succeed at club level.

"Conte will be delighted [with Kane’s goals for England over the international break]," Keane added.

"A lot of managers complain about their players playing for their country - I’ve experienced that myself - but Conte will be sitting at home going, ‘what he’s doing with England is better than any training he could’ve done’.

"He’s scoring goals, he’ll go back to Tottenham with spring in his step."

Spurs host Leeds United at home on Sunday and Kane will be hoping to return to club form in style.
