Ian Wright admits he could see Liverpool signing Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe

Former Arsenal and England striker Ian Wright has admitted he could see Liverpool signing Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain in the near future.

The World Cup winner has established himself as the finest young forward in world football, with a remarkable record of 64 goals in 76 Ligue 1 appearances for the French giants.

Real Madrid have continuously been attributed with an interest in the young forward but Liverpool, despite Jurgen Klopp categorically ruling out such a transfer, continue to be mentioned as a possible destination.

Wright has now added fuel to the fire, admitting that he could see Liverpool luring Mbappe from PSG to bring his talents to the Premier League.

“You could see Mbappe, at the moment, at Liverpool. You can definitely see that,” he told Match of the Day’s Top 10 Podcast.

“If we’re talking about it now, I could see Mbappe at Liverpool but where would he fit into? I think Liverpool are at that level where Mbappe could go to.”

The forward will not be playing anytime soon due to the coronavirus crisis, with France's Ligue 1 cancelling the 2019/20 and crowning PSG as champions.
