Ian Poveda went live on Instagram during Leeds United's title celebrations on Wednesday night and shared a playful exchange with Ben White.
Leeds fans are desperate to see the on-loan defender extend his spell at Elland Road after a brilliant season in the Championship.
White ended the season in style against Charlton Athletic as he netted his first goal for Leeds with a sweetly-struck chest and volley that demonstrated his all-round footballing ability.
The 4-0 victory put the icing on the cake of a great season for the Whites and meant their title celebrations could properly begin as they lifted the Championship trophy.
Post-match Poveda went live on Instagram in the dressing room post-match and, at one point, jokingly got White by a headlock in order to try and convince the Brighton & Hove Albion man to stay at Elland Road.
"Ben White here, he got the goal," Poveda said. "Ben White - and he's staying.
"He's staying, I've got him in a headlock, he ain't going nowhere."
White laughed along with the joke and Poveda was soon on his way elsewhere to continue giving fans a glimpse into Leeds' celebrations.
Yet supporters were keen to tell Poveda how much they want to see White stay at the club.
"Get the lad signed," one told Poveda.
Another fan commented: "Get Ben White to sign."
It was here that Poveda underlined how important the Leeds squad feel the defender is as he confirmed that he was already telling White to sign.
He said: "Don't worry guys, I'm trying my hardest."
