Ian ‘Moose’ Abraham delivers his latest Leeds United hot take as he gives verdict on the play-off race

talkSPORT presenter Ian ‘Moose’ Abrahams has claimed he saw Leeds United’s slump in form coming while tipping Derby County to win the play-offs.

Abrahams, speaking on The Jim White Show, slammed Marcelo Bielsa’s side for 'losing steam’ and says if he was Leeds fan, he’d be worried.

“I’ve said all season that Marcelo Bielsa’s teams always blow up at the end of the season,” said Abrahams.

“They’ve lost steam just at the wrong point in the season and I’d be very worried going into the play-offs if I was Leeds.”

The commentating veteran then went on to give his Championship play-off predictions.

“Aston Villa have won 10 in a row but if they want to get promoted they’ve got two more in the league and then three in the play-offs. 15 games is a big ask for anyone.

“I think West Brom have been chugging away all season but the team in sixth is coming into it. I think Derby will win the play-offs.”

The broadcaster has had a tenuous relationship with fans before and especially since the Spygate scandal, where a scout of Bielsa’s was caught spying on a Derby County training session back in January.

‘Moose’ also claimed on talkSPORT before the new year that he thought it would be 'bad for English football' if Leeds got promoted to the Premier League.

Abrahams then went on to cite his reasons, one of them being Leeds have a foreign coach rather than an English one - insisting it could possibly hinder the country’s footballing development, failing to recognise the fact that Bielsa has blooded a series of young homegrown players and inspired several members of his squad to consider management in the future.

Leeds have two games of the season remaining and must hope that Sheffield United drop points in both of theirs in order to avoid the play-offs.
