Ian Holloway gives incredible Love Island breakdown - but insists he doesn't watch show

Straight-talking football manager Ian Holloway wouldn't be your stereotypical Love Island fan.

The 56-year-old shocked talkSPORT listeners on Thursday as he gave a passionate breakdown of recent events in the villa.

Drama has hit Love Island this week as the return of Casa Amor saw firefighter Michael recouple with Joanna, leaving former partner Amber single.

Original couple Amy and Curtis have also hit a rocky patch after Curtis was swayed by one of the new girls - much to the amusement of Holloway.

Despite claiming not to be a fan of the show, Holloway showcased his knowledge and could not hide his anger at Michael's behaviour.

"Don't even get me started on Love Island!" Holloway told talkSPORT.

"I've been playing darts whilst my daughter and my wife have been watching it.

"Do you know what, the firemen, Michael, I'd kill him. You've gotta be true to your word.

"How can you say that to her, then realise because he met someone else who says she likes him.

Holloway slammed Michael for his treatment of Amber (ITV)

"Don't go there. You can't say that to Amber.

"Did you see Amber the other day? Come on, that's not right, you don't do that.

"I've got a daughter. Don't do that, I wouldn't let anyone treat you like that.

Holloway couldn't help but be amused at Curtis getting "custard pied" (ITV)

"Curtis. I tell you what, he got custard pied and it was hilarious. Take that.

"I'm playing darts and trying to not watching, that's my problem.

"I don't love it, it annoys me, like the jungle."
