Ian Burchnall names Notts County team to face Rochdale

Notts County head coach Ian Burchnall made three changes to his starting 11 as he went in search of a place in the second round of the FA Cup against Rochdale tonight.

The Magpies boss recalled Connell Rawlinson, Kairo Mitchell and Aaron Nemane to the team with Callum Roberts, Dion Kelly-Evans and Alex Lacey dropping to the bench.

Otherwise it was as you were for the Magpies from the side which beat Solihull Moors 2-0 at the weekend, a result which lifted Notts up to fifth in the National League table.

Notts are hoping to convert their impressive league form into a cup run and a win tonight would book them a date against Plymouth or Sheffield Wednesday in the next round.

Despite the changes, Burchnall stuck to his 3-5-2 formation with Anthony Patterson in goal behind the back three of Richard Brindley, Adam Chicksen and Rawlinson.

At right wing-back was Nemane with Joel Taylor on the opposite flank.

In midfield were Matt Palmer, Ruben Rodrigues and Frank Vincent while Mitchell joined Kyle Wootton up front.

Missing out tonight were Kyle Cameron and Jim O'Brien who were ruled out through illness.
